my grandaad cant have potassium because of his heart is there any fruit and veggies with no potassium in or any what is no danger to him. thankyou

Some fruits and vegetables that are low in potassium (with less than 100mg of potassium in ½ a cup) are: Applesauce, blueberries, cranberries, lemon or lime (½ medium), pears, cabbage, cucumber, green beans, leeks, iceberg lettuce, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. Click here for more information about potassium. I would encourage speaking with his physician, and perhaps see about speaking with a registered dietitian who can help with meal planning based on his specific medical needs.
