Avocado and Blueberry Fruit Salad 
This is one of our own Fruits & Veggies—More Matters® recipes. It meets the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s strict nutrition guidelines as a healthy recipe.

Serves: 6
Cups of Fruits and Vegetables per Serving: 2 ½
Ingredients:
Dressing
2 tablespoons honey
¼ cup plain nonfat yogurt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup fresh orange juice
1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper
Salad
1 large, ripe avocado, peeled and cut in slices
2 cups fresh apple; peeled, cored, seeded, diced
2 cups fresh mango, diced
2 cups fresh blueberries, rinsed and drained
1 5-oz package or 8 cups of salad greens
2 tablespoons chopped chives or green onion
2 tablespoons walnuts, toasted, chopped coarsely
Whisk together all dressing ingredients, set aside. Place avocado slices, apple, mango and blueberries in a medium bowl and toss with ¼ cup of dressing. Toss salad greens in large bowl with remainder of dressing, and distribute evenly on each of six salad plates. Place an equal portion of the fruit/avocado mixture on top of each greens serving. Sprinkle with chopped chives and toasted walnuts to serve.
Each serving provides: An excellent source of vitamins A and C, folate and fiber, and a good source of magnesium and potassium.
