I have been told to consume a low protein diet and need help with appropriate menus.

 

Q. Have recently been diagnosed with ammonia in my liver. On Depakote. Coming off. Told to consume a low protein diet. Taking Lactalose twice a day. Need help with appropriate menus. Caloie intake.. Gained 20 pounds in 4 months. Injured and in a Skillied Nursing Facility. Female age 58.

 

A. Since medications are involved, talk to your doctor or ask your doctor to refer you to a registered dietitian for your individual needs. You can also find a dietitian in your area by searching EatRight.org.
