When it comes to fruits and vegetables, all forms count. Eating a piece of fruit provides water, and fiber in addition to the nutrients in the fruit. Dried fruit simply has less water, but still provides fiber and nutrients. Dried fruit is more condensed, so the same amount of dried will have more calories than the same amount of fresh or canned. Juice that is ‘100% juice’ contains all the nutrients of the fruit, but will have little or no fiber.
