does all the chemicals, from fumigants to pesticides to chemical cleaners and such seep into the fruits. Are the chemicals taken in by or left on the outer of the fruits? My logical guess is yes. What’s your expert experience with all the chemicals used in our agric. industry today? Thank you, Greg

Some chemicals may end up inside of the fruit, but most remain outside and can be removed by washing thoroughly. Researchers maintain that the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables far outweigh any risks that may be caused by any chemicals that remain on them.
