On a very tight budget, what would you recommened us buying for our son (5yrs) in kindergr for his snack time. they say 1-2 small iteams, no peanuts, Please help!

Fruits and vegetables are good ideas for healthy snacking. Whole fruit (like grapes, berries) or cut up veggies that he likes (perhaps, carrots, celery) would be good to send in. You could also add a dipping sauce (perhaps peanut butter, applesauce or ranch dressing) in a small container. Dried fruits, like raisins are also good choices.
