  1. Try making some of these recipies. If your kids like ice cream and shakes, try this one. You’ll need one whole banana, 3/4 cup of strawberries, a cup of low fat vanilla yogut, and about a half a cup of pineapple juice. Put all ingrediants into a blender and blend until smooth. This is a very satisfying smoothy that the whole family will go for. Heres a vegetable recipe. You’ll need two slices of bread, low fat cream spinach, low fat turkey slices, lettuce, and tomatoes. Put two pieces of bread in toaster and let cook the way your kids like there toast. When done, spread on half a teaspoon of low fat cream spinach on each piece of bread. Put on one piece of low fat turkey, a couple pieces of lettuce, and a slice of tomato. Tomato is optional. The low fat cream spinach is a lot healthier than mayonnaise or miracle whip. This goes great with a side dish of peas and mashed potatoes. Another healthy tip is to buy baked, low fat chips instead of regular chips. Also try to serve with salsa maybe. If you’re trying to serve fruit for dessert (which is an excelent idea) put fruit in low calorie Jell-O. Incurage your child to eat cereal that is low in sugar, high in fiber, and low in fat instead of dounuts or high fat meats like sausage. Also try to cut up fruit like bananas and strawberries to put into their cereal. Heres another idea, don’t actually buy the junk! Kids don’t have the money to buy stuff so if you don’t buy junk food, your kids can’t eat junk food! Try not to take your kids to the local food market so they won’t complain about not getting waht they want in front of everybody. Also try to get more time to play with your kids in active games like dancing to music outside, playing outdoor games like baseball, trampoline, or soccer. Also try eating outside or try to have picnics. It’s really good and healthy to eat outside and get some sunshine. Good Luck!
