My daughter is 10 years old and odes not want to eat fruits and veggies. The few one she likes such as apples, bananas and grapes she brings back home in her lunch box. I always advice her that it is very important, but she refuses. My 3 year old son loves fruites, but now he is starting to not want his veggies. What can I do?
One of the best ways to encourage children to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables is to set a good example-make sure you and other care givers are eating them too! And while whole fruits and vegetables are a great way to send them in your child’s lunch box, be creative and mix canned beans or corn into salads or soups, use shredded carrots for sandwich toppings, or make fruit kabobs with grapes and strawberries. Keeping kids involved with cooking and shopping for fruits and veggies will also encourage them to keep eating fruits and veggies.
