my daughter has a condition called bartter’s syndrome. its a very rare condition in which she looses potassium in her blood through urine. what is best for her to eat to get some natural potassium? she takes supplements but doc suggested she includes potassium in the food she eats.thanks ps.fruit and vegtables are not an issue for my daughter she just loves them. i just want to know what to give her as first preference so it boosts her potassium.

Potassium is found in most fruits and vegetables.  Those that provide the most potassium include include: bananas, broccoli, celery, kiwifruit, beans (like pinto, or chick peas) peaches, prunes, apricots, plums, oranges, avocados, tomatoes, potatoes, and yams.  Check out our Fruit and Vegetable Recipe Search for recipes that can help you include these foods in your daughter’s diet.
