There are many different ways to prepare Swiss chard. Swiss chard is a tasty green that is an excellent source of vitamin A and also a good source of vitamin C. One way to cook Swiss chard is to wash the leaves and chop coarsely. Add ¼ tsp olive oil, a clove of garlic and a pinch of crushed red pepper to a pan. Sauté garlic for one minute, add the Swiss chard and a little water to steam. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes. The chard is done when it is tender and wilted.
