We are wondering what is the best juice…Apple, cranberry, grape, tomato, etc. for seniors. Some say apple, some say cranberry. What does the expert say? We sometimes have a choice of juice or salad.

All juices have different nutritional benefits in terms of specific vitamins and minerals that they may provide – the important thing is to consume 100% juice, not juice drinks which contain very little juice.  Also, look for low sodium tomato and vegetable juices.  The best approach is to choose a variety of fruits and vegetables in different forms each day – as juice, salad, cooked vegetable, whole fruit for instance.  You can read about the how different forms of fruits and veggies fit into your diet here.
