There are several food sources that are rich in iron, including many vegetables. Oysters, clams, beef, shrimp, sardines, turkey, lentils, spinach, chickpeas, lima beans, and pinto beans are a few good sources. While fruit is not a great source of iron, those rich in vitamin C help aid the absorption of iron from meat.
