I have an allergic reaction to all fruits except citrus fruit. What can I do about getting daily servings of fruit.

Experts always recommend a certain number of servings of fruits and vegetables. Can it be JUST vegetables as long as you get the right number of servings? I have yet to find research telling me why it has to be fruits AND vegetables.
