How can I keep myself from getting sick?

 

Q. I am healthy and had a diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis last year. What can I do to prevent from getting it again?

 

A. It is impossible to avoid every disease-causing germ that is out there, but keeping your body healthy can help fight illnesses or lessen the severity if you get sick. Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables contributes macro and micro nutrients that support everyday body functions and health. This is why half your plate should always be fruits and vegetables.
