Q. Eating fruits is tricky for me because I have many true food allergies. In the fruit group, I know that I am allergic to all melons except watermelon and mangoes. I would like to try Korean pears, but don’t know to which commonly consumed American fruits they are comparable or related.Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Korean pear, also known as Asian pear, is a unique fruit similar to an apple. Asian pear has a very high water content and is a very fragile fruit. The pears are typically eaten fresh and not baked. The outer peel is edible, similar to the skin on a Bosc pear, and the flesh inside is crunchy and sweet.
