A. All fruit and vegetables are lactose and gluten free unless mixed with something else (i.e. butter, yogurt, bread crumbs, etc.). Lactose is a natural occurring sugar found in dairy foods and gluten is found in wheat and some grain products. Discuss your concerns with your daughter’s doctor before starting any foods to avoid a serious reaction and make sure she is ready to begin solid foods.
