A little bit of searching has revealed that pressure cookers seem to be making a comeback and apparently they’re not like the ones that grandma used. Books are out on the market enlightening those who wish to know the joys of using one, and promoting the fact that they’re safe and easy to use. Personally, in today’s time-crunched world, I would opt for steaming in the microwave. It’s about as quick as you can get, and the minimal liquid needed along with the brief cooking time allows for maximum retention of nutrients. If you’re so inclined, however, and have a pressure cooker, you could do a comparison to see which you and your family prefer as a cooking method.
