I have 2 bags of orange slices for a team game that was cancelled, can I freeze the slices for a few days until the next game? Thanks!
Because of their water content, fresh oranges do not freeze well. The water in the orange slices would crystallize during freezing and damage the delicate tissues. I recommend wrapping the orange slices in a very damp (almost wet) paper towel and placing them in a large zip-top bag, refrigerating them until needed.
