I heard that it is harmful to microwave and that you lose nutients and negatively change the molecular structure of foods. Is this true?We have taken to steaming ood instead.

Microwaving food is completely safe. Any type of cooking changes the molecular structure of food, and may cause a small loss of nutrients. Nutrient losses with microwaving are similar to nutrient losses with steaming, and they are very minimal.
