Is dried fruit like pineapple as nutritional as fresh pineapple?

Both dried fruit and fresh fruit are generally equal in nutritional value. However, dried fruit is higher in calories because it is concentrated when the water is removed. Pineapple is an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese, and contains small amounts of some of the B vitamins and fiber. A serving of fresh pineapple is ½ cup and a serving of dried pineapple is 1/4 cup.
