Should I wash frozen organic fruit? If so, how?

Q. I have been eating frozen organic fruit for years and never thought about washing it. Should I be? If so do I just simply wash it with cold water when it is in its frozen state?

A. Washing fruits and vegetables is important because it gets rid of excess dirt and bacteria. Although most frozen fruits and vegetables are washed before packaging, it is still important to wash them before use. Just rinse frozen or thawed fruit in a colander under cool water and then enjoy.
