A. There are far greater than five health benefits when vegetables are consumed. For starters, better weight control. Vegetables are a great source of fiber which works to fill you up and most vegetables are a low calorie food. Second, vegetables contain phytochemicals. These special compounds work to protect or repair cells from damage, help lower cholesterol, keep vision healthy and more! Also, vegetables contain lots of vitamins and minerals. All playing a unique role in the body for everyday function and health! Veggies may also reduce the risk of disease. This is just to name a few. The benefits go on and on.
