What fruits, veggies are good for preventing kidney stones and infections?

Q. Please list fruits and vegetables good for kidney stones and kidney infections.

A. The cause of kidney stones is unknown, but research suggests that diets high in fruits, vegetables and fiber may be beneficial for preventing stones and improving overall kidney health. Any kind of fruit or vegetable will be beneficial to the body. Try to eat a variety at every meal and snack to reap the benefits. Make sure to consume all forms of fruits and veggies (frozen, canned, fresh, dried and 100% juice) to increase how many you eat in a day. Also, aim to make half-your-plate full of fruits and veggies at meal time. Check out our 30-minute or less recipes to incorporate more fruits, veggies, and fiber into your day!
