Ask the Expert Archive

after refrigerating, how long can granny smith apples last, to be used for pie-baking?

They can be kept until you decide by their appearance that you don’t want to use them, such as excessively brown, soft, etc. Small brown spots can be cut out and the apple can still be used for baking.
