Do baked beans count towards my vegetable intake recommendation (5 A Day)?

The old slogan of “5-A-Day” changed to “Fruits & Veggies More Matters” in 2007. The recommendation for how many cups of fruits and vegetables a person needs each day varies from person to person. With the new recommendations, some people need up to 11 servings of fruits and vegetables each day [Learn How Many Cups of Fruits and Vegetables You Should be Consuming Each Day]. In reference to your baked beans question, baked beans do count towards your vegetable recommendation. Baked beans are a combination of navy beans and sauces. Navy beans are high in fiber and folate! Remember that baked beans tend to be high in sugar as well since they are often made with molasses. Enjoy your baked beans!
