A. Yes. Asian pears are a good source of fiber and potassium.  They are also saturated fat free and cholesterol free.  Fiber promotes healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels while potassium helps counteract the high sodium content in other foods, which also helps to lower blood pressure.  Most fruits and vegetables are low in sodium and higher in potassium.  Make sure you’re getting the daily recommendation of fruits and vegetables.
