Can You Help Me Discern the Flesh of Plums I Recently Purchased?

Q. Hello. I bought a bag of plums yesterday, and the first two from the bag, so far, have hundreds of brown, pin-sized, seed-like granules immediately surrounding/covering the pit. I have never seen or heard of anything like this before and have had no success at all in numerous and varied internet searches for even one picture or comment on this, or something like it. Perhaps its normal and just fine for consumption. I’d like to verify first, though, in case it’s bug eggs or such. Thanks.
A. There are around 25 plum varieties with unique differences so the granules you described in the flesh may be normal for the type you purchased.  I recommend you follow-up with the produce manager at your grocer to help answer your question.
