How can I keep myself from getting sick?

Q. I am healthy and had a diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis last year. What can I do to prevent from getting it again?

A. It is impossible to avoid every disease-causing germ that is out there, but keeping your body healthy can help fight illnesses or lessen the severity if you get sick. Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables contributes macro and micro nutrients that support everyday body functions and health. This is why half your plate should always be fruits and vegetables. Include a variety of different fruits and veggies for optimal nutrition every day.
