Q. How many fruits and veggies do my husband and I need to eat each day? We are both in our 50’s and I am 50lbs over weight, he is not. We both have major health issues over 20 surgery’s each and he’s a dwarf.Thank you.
A. According to the USDA, fill half your plate with fruits and veggies at every meal to meet the daily recommendation. About 4 to 6 cups a day are recommended with some differences between men and women. For individualized meal planning, I recommend you consult with a doctor and/or a registered dietitian nutritionist.
