Several studies have been done to determine fruit and vegetable consumption levels in the United States. These studies show that as a nation we do not consume an adequate amount of fruits and vegetables!
 
A study reported by the Centers for Disease Control concluded that only 33% of adults meet the recommendation for fruit consumption, 27% get the recommended servings of vegetables, and more than 90% of Americans do not get their combined recommended amount of fruits and vegetables each day.
 
Another study reported in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association found that one in ten Americans get the recommended amount of servings of fruits and vegetables each day.  So yes!
