Does Salsa count as a vegetable?

Yes, salsa is typically a combination of chopped, usually uncooked, vegetables or fruit, especially tomatoes, onions, and chili peppers.  One half a cup of salsa counts as one serving towards your fruit and/or vegetable servings for the day.
