Does taro, a root product have any iron? Does it help in curing constipation?

Taro contains very little iron, since ½ cup provides only 3% of the daily value.

It is a good source of fiber, (½ cup provides just over 3g) and so may be helpful in relieving constipation. Increasing your fiber intake, drinking adequate water and getting regular exercise are recommended to relieve constipation.
