How do you store jalapeno peppers from the garden

You can store them in a paper bag in the crisper of your refrigerator for a week or two or you can cut them in half, remove the seeds and ribs and freeze for up to a year.

  1. That is not quite correct. It is pepper seeds that you shake on a pizza which can be quite hot. You can do a couple of things to lessen but not eliminate the heat from a jalapeno.
    1. Remove the seeds and the membrane
    If still too hot,
    2.Soak the jalapeno in vinegar for a couple of minutes and then rinse well to remove vinegar flavor. Much of the capsacian dissolves into the vinegar.n
