You can get fiber in your diet by eating recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables (Click here to see what is recommended), and by choosing whole grain foods, such as 100% whole wheat bread, oatmeal, barley, brown rice instead of highly processed grain foods like white bread, white rice, instant cereals. Look for breads, cereals and grains that provide 2-3 grams of fiber per serving or more. Replacing meat with legumes will also add fiber to your diet.
