I am on the education committee for a religious school (grades K-7). I would like to have a nutritional snack policy for the school and recommended snacks for the parents to bring in each week. Can you lead me in the right direction?

The USDA has just created new recommendations for school lunches. The easiest recommendation you can make for parents is to focus their snacks around fruits and veggies! By making fruits and vegetables the main part of the snack they will provide the students with a low-fat snack that is full of vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial compounds!
