I am wondering on how to implement a program at our school, that would provide fruits and vegetables to the kids for free. I was reading about the USDA program that happened in 2002. Please let me know what you may know or how I can proceed. – Heidi Mckee

That program is currently funded in specific states, and only a certain number of schools in each state receive funding for it. However, it has been expanded, and the hope is that it will continue to be. You would need to check if your state is one of those that receives funding to start. You can find more information about the program at http://www.fns.usda.gov/cga/FactSheets/FFVP_Quick_Facts.htm
