I need a healthy breakfast alternative that is not going to leave me feeling light headed right afterward and tired later in the day. What do you recommend?

Eating foods that are full of fiber—whole grains, fruits and vegetables—will keep you feeling fuller for longer as well as prevent a feeling of tiredness later in the day. Foods that are rich in fiber maintain blood sugar levels and therefore prevent the feeling of “light headedness” and "tiredness" quickly after eating them. Consuming simple carbohydrates (refined grains, foods with a lot of added sugars like donuts, etc.) can cause a steep increase and then a steep decrease in blood sugar which produces this feeling of lightheadedness/tiredness. Try incorporating fruits, vegetables and whole grains into your breakfast as well as into all of you meals/snacks through out the day to prevent these.
