I teach 3rd graders. How much salt/sodium should a child limit a day?

Eight year olds should aim for 1,200mg of sodium each day, and from age 9 (to age 50) we should aim for 1500mg per day. These are Adequate Intakes, or the amounts needed by healthy people. There are 2,300mg of sodium in one teaspoon of salt.
