Iam presently on cumadin and I love baby spinach, can I eat spinach? How much should I eat? Thanks!

It is important to keep your vitamin K intake steady when you are on coumadin. Do not suddenly change the amount you consume. Cooked spinach is high in vitamin K, and raw spinach is a moderate source. It is generally recommended that you do not consume more than ½ cup of cooked spinach or 3 cups of raw spinach daily while on coumadin. If you have been eating more or less than these amounts, check with your doctor before you make any changes.
