Does blending fruits and vegetables with cold liquid change their nutritional value?

Q: If I use various mixture of fresh fruits and/or vegetables to make a blender smoothie with nothing added except plain water or skim milk will they have the same nuritional values as if eaten raw?

A:  Adding water or skim milk will not “cook” the vegetables.  They will still be “raw” and have the same nutritional value prior to blending.  Click here to search our recipe database for smoothies, shakes and hundreds of other recipes!
