is eating a piece of fruit better than drinking juice or eating dried fruit as a snack?

When it comes to fruits and vegetables, all forms count. Eating a piece of fruit provides water, and fiber in addition to the nutrients in the fruit. Dried fruit simply has less water, but still provides fiber and nutrients. Dried fruit is more condensed, so the same amount of dried will have more calories than the same amount of fresh or canned. Juice that is ‘100% juice’ contains all the nutrients of the fruit, but will have little or no fiber. However, it is fine to include a serving of juice each day as one way to get more fruits and veggies in your diet. Click here to learn about all forms of fruits and veggies.
