Is microwaving food dangerous?

Q: Why do you still promote microwaving as an option for cooking knowing the dangers of it and how it changes the molecules in food?

A: Microwaving food is completely safe. Any type of cooking changes the molecular structure of food, and may cause a small loss of nutrients. Nutrient losses with microwaving are similar to nutrient losses with steaming, and they are very minimal.
