Is there a difference between dried apricots and Turkish apricots?

Q. Is there a difference between ‘dried apricots’ and ‘Turkish apricots’? When a recipe calls for dried apricots, can Turkish apricots be used?

A. Yes, these are interchangeable. Turkish apricots are simply grown in Turkey. It is quite possibly a different cultivar (variety), since many cultivars are grown worldwide.
