My husband just got diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and I wonder if it is a good idea to get a juicer machine to help include healthy fruits and vegetables into his diet.

Including juices in his diet is okay, especially vegetable juices which are lower in sugar. Juice from sweet fruits and vegetables would still have to be “counted” in the carbohydrates in his diet. The very best way for him to increase fruit and vegetable intake however is to eat them. Adding them at every meal and snack will replace other foods that are less healthy and will provide your husband with nutrients and fiber he needs. Cooked or raw, fresh, frozen, dried or canned fruits and vegetables are all good.
