Need to know the food resources rich in Iron

There are several food sources that are rich in iron, including many vegetables. Oysters, clams, beef, shrimp, sardines, turkey, lentils, spinach, chickpeas, lima beans, and pinto beans are a few good sources.  While fruit is not a great source of iron, those rich in vitamin C help aid the absorption of iron from meat. For a complete list of fruits and veggies that are sources of iron, check out our Best of: Iron section.
