Can a Food Container Impact a Pineapple Allergy?

Q. is it possible to have an allergic reaction to pineapple in a can but not pineapple in a plastic cup?
A. It is unlikely that the material used for packaging contributes to a food allergy. If you have an allergy to another food type, e.g. nuts, wheat, or soy, be sure to read the food label and confirm the pineapple was processed in an allergen-free environment. I recommend you consult with an allergist if you have additional questions.
