should you wash grapes before you store them in frig in a plastic bag? i ask because my grapes are wilting fast and dont last long in frig and i have tried washing them 1st

Grapes should be washed when you are ready to use them. The “dusty” look that you see on grapes (and blueberries) is the fruit’s natural preservative, called “bloom.” Not washing off the natural bloom until right before you eat the fruit will preserve them the longest.  Grapes should be stored in their original package in the refrigerator for up to one week after purchase. Try making prepackaged plastic bags so that you can easily grab them on your way out the door or add them to your lunch. Try our 3-Bean Salad with Grapes.
