someone gave me a bar of 79% dark chocolate that is 3 yrs. old. They claim it is high quality and cannot ”go bad”. I am probably not going to eat this even though he claims it is better over time. Any comment? thanks

Check to see if the bar has an expiration date on it. Most bars have an expiration date printed on the package. Most chocolate bars have an expiration date of one year from the date of manufacture. Therefore, if you know this bar is 3 years old, I do not suggest eating it. Visit our Fruit & Veggie Nutrition Database for all of your fruit and vegetable storage questions.
