What type of acid do Clementines contain?

Q. Do Clementines contain citric acid or ascorbic acid version of Vitamin C? I am anaphylactic allergic to citric acid. I know I can’t eat lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruits, but I have noticed I don’t react the same to honey tangerines so I am trying to find other forms of fruit that work.

A. Clementines are a citrus fruit and therefore contain both citric acid and ascorbic acid. Citric acid is found in a lot of foods because it is often used as a preservative and as a flavoring. Anaphylactic reactions are very dangerous, work with a dietitian or your doctor to create a list of safe foods for you to eat.
