What are the three names for salt?

The chemical name for the salt that is used at the table is sodium chloride. There are other salts that are used in salt substitutes such as potassium chloride. There are also different types of salts such as kosher or sea salt. Sodium is also found in other compounds that are added to foods as additives and preservatives, such as monosodium glutamate.
